Interesting Results
I was led to these two quizzes via a link over at Gentle Breezes.
I loved some of the questions in the two quizzes.
Democrat:
* George W. Bush is a criminal.
* Anti-abortion protesters are practically terrorists.
* You think Bill Clinton is a charming guy - and was a great president.
* People who are anti-immigration are probably just racist.
* The greatest president of the 20th century: FDR
* Michael Moore is an American hero.
Republican:
* You don't have a lot of respect for public school teachers. Those who can't do, teach.
* We gave peace a chance - and it didn't work.
* Bill Clinton was a criminal and probably a sociopath.
* PETA and Greenpeace are practically terrorist organizations.
* Greatest president of the 20th century: Ronald Reagan
* There's no way you'd listen to the Dixie Chicks after what they've said.
The really scary thing is that there is no shortage of people—very intelligent people, in all other respects—who believe these kinds of statements.
So my results seem to indicate 20% Democrat, 32% Republican, and 48% "A pox on both your houses. Quit your grandstanding and get to work already!"
Yeah, that sounds about right.
(And for the record, the greatest president of the 20th century was Roosevelt—Teddy Roosevelt.)
You Are 20% Democrat |
If you have anything in common with the Democrat party, it's by sheer chance. You're a staunch conservative, and nothing is going to change that! |
You Are 32% Republican |
You're a bit Republican, and probably more conservative than you realize. If you're still voting Democrat, maybe it's time that you stop. |

12% Democrat 56% Republican here.
And I'd agree with Teddy. But I have to give props to Kennedy for pushing the space program, but that isn't enough.

32% democrat, 32% republican. Sounds about right. Call it mostly confused at voting time.

44% Republican, 8% Democrat. I like how they put it, "You probably consider yourself an independent Republican. You usually support the party, but you also think for yourself!" Yep, that's about right. Interesting quiz!

Several 20th century presidents were better than Teddy Roosevelt in my opinion. Calvin Coolidge, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan. Don't get me wrong, TR was a good president. But he went after what he thought were monopolies and in so doing, could easily have destroyed the economy and the quality of life for the working man and his family. Coolidge had the restraint and good sense necessary to stay out of business' business. FDR, for all his faults--his meddling with the economy only worsened the depression and his social programs went to far--was a brilliant leader during WWII. He had the courage and conviction to see the war to it's end (nearly so--he died before it was truly over). Truman handled the beginning of the Cold War brilliantly and took the necessary stand against communism when he sent troops to Korea. Kennedy is one of the biggest tax-cutters in US history (tax cuts = more individual freedom). And Reagan was needed badly after we had not two, not three, but four bad presidents in a row (seriously, all four presidents were disasters).
