Pic of the Week: Banana Dreadlocks
I picked up some bananas last week, some yellow ones to eat now (er, then) and some green ones to eat later. When I had put them all on the holder, for a moment I thought it looked like someone with really colorful dreadlocks. I don't know why I found that so amusing. But I did and I took a pic, and here it is.

Okay. Banana dreadlocks. Actually, I used to have some very think, very smelly dreadlocks myself. I made them far too thick - about as think as those bananas. I finally cut them off immediately before my wedding. You can't clean the inside of those things, there was a toothpick in there and a dead fly. In spite of all my shampooing the very inside of them was black.

You know, the downside of spell check is that it cannot tell the difference between "think" and "thick".
